Oral history, as the embodiment of a powerful vocal heritage, is deeply rooted in millennia-old traditions of regional songs, poetry and storytelling. These embodied forms of remembrance have been fundamental to the transmission of ancestral knowledge from one generation to the next. Women in particular, have played a vital role in preserving and carrying this heritage.
Her Voice is an artistic documentation of the lived experiences of Iranian women as they resist and reclaim the power to determine and control their own bodies.
