SALON LAVOIR

Salon Lavoir is Hoda Siahtiri's artistic framework that brings together her individual works and her collaborations with various artists to create ritual and musical spaces. It is an ongoing artistic and research practice that has emerged from years of encounter with ancient vocal and musical traditions; traditions in which sound and voice function as practices of remembrance, healing, and collective transformation.

Salon Lavoir proposes a temporary architecture that can emerge wherever people gather to live in the coexistence of time and space; a place where collective and embodied listening becomes possible.

The subtle irony of its name lies in the image of a 'washing salon': a place where wounded egos and damaged voices might be gently cleansed and purified through sound.
